                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 17, 2015      TO: Honorable Ryan Guillen, Chair, House Committee on Culture, Recreation & Tourism      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB3266 by Guillen (relating to construction standards for certain recreational vehicle parks and campgrounds.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Health and Safety Code to require privately owned campgrounds or recreational vehicle parks to comply with the National Fire Protection Association NFPA 1194, Standard for Recreational Vehicle Parks and Campgrounds, 2014 Edition, with the exception of Section 1.1.1.  The bill would prohibit government entities in the state from imposing certain regulations related to recreational vehicle parks or campgrounds more stringent than those required by the bill.  Based on information provided by the Parks and Wildlife Department, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be implemented by utilizing existing resources.
