A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the participation in the countywide polling place
program.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 43.007(i), Election Code, is amended to
read as follows:
(i) The secretary of state may [only] select any county to
participate in the program and may not limit the number of [six]
counties that may participate in the program [with a population of
100,000 or more and four counties with a population of less than
100,000].
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015.
