114 AN ACT
125 relating to prohibiting camping and building fires in certain
136 areas; creating a criminal offense.
147 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
158 SECTION 1. Chapter 90, Parks and Wildlife Code, is amended
169 by adding Section 90.0085 to read as follows:
1710 Sec. 90.0085. CAMPING AND BUILDING FIRES PROHIBITED IN
1811 CERTAIN AREAS. (a) This section applies to a section of the Blanco
1912 River that is not located in a county adjacent to a county with a
2013 municipality with a population greater than 1.5 million.
2114 (b) Notwithstanding Section 90.008(a), a person may not
2215 camp or build a fire in a dry riverbed.
2316 SECTION 2. Section 90.011(a), Parks and Wildlife Code, is
2417 amended to read as follows:
2518 (a) A person commits an offense if the person violates
2619 Section 90.002, [or] 90.008, or 90.0085.
2720 SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015.
