                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            May 15, 2015      TO: Honorable Joan Huffman, Chair, Senate Committee on State Affairs      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB3682 by Geren (Relating to the categorization and resolution of violations of laws enforced by the Texas Ethics Commission.), As Engrossed    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend Government Code to amend the categorization of reporting violations with the Ethics Commission and to require the Commission resolve reporting violations in the form corresponding to the type of violation committed. The Ethics Commission would be required to adopt rules necessary to implement the bill no later than December 1, 2015. It is anticipated that any costs associated with implementing the bill could be absorbed within current resources. The bill would take effect September 1, 2015.
