The bill would amend the Family Code to allow a family or relative by blood, adoption, or marriage of either a former parent whose parent-child relationship has been terminated or of the father of the child to file an original suit regarding a child.The Department of Family and Protective Service and the Office of Court Administration do anticipate any significant fiscal impacts as a result of complying with the provisions of the bill.
