| 8 | 8 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 9 | 9 | SECTION 1. Section 25.1112(e), Government Code, is amended | |
| 10 | 10 | to read as follows: | |
| 11 | 11 | (e) The district clerk serves as the clerk of a county court | |
| 12 | 12 | at law for all criminal and civil matters except that the county | |
| 13 | 13 | clerk serves as the clerk of the county court at law in | |
| 14 | 14 | [uncontested] probate and guardianship matters. [The county clerk | |
| 15 | 15 | shall transfer to the district clerk any contested probate and | |
| 16 | 16 | guardianship matters filed with the county clerk.] | |
| 17 | 17 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
