225 relating to the information in ad valorem tax appraisal records
236 that may not be posted on the Internet by an appraisal district.
247 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
258 SECTION 1. Section 25.027, Tax Code, is amended to read as
269 follows:
2710 Sec. 25.027. RESTRICTION ON POSTING INFORMATION ON INTERNET
2811 WEBSITE [REGARDING CERTAIN RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY].
2912 (a) Information in appraisal records may not be posted on the
3013 Internet if the information:
3114 (1) is a photograph, sketch, or floor plan of an
3215 improvement to real property that is designed primarily for use as a
3316 human residence; or
3417 (2) indicates the age of a property owner, including
3518 information indicating that a property owner is 65 years of age or
3619 older.
3720 (b) Subsection (a)(1) [This section] does not apply to an
3821 aerial photograph that depicts five or more separately owned
3922 buildings.
4023 SECTION 2. Not later than the effective date of this Act,
4124 the chief appraiser for each appraisal district shall ensure that
4225 information described by Section 25.027(a)(2), Tax Code, as added
4326 by this Act, that is posted on an Internet website controlled by the
4427 appraisal district is removed from the website.
4528 SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015.
