| 24 | 7 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 25 | 8 | | SECTION 1. Section 25.027, Tax Code, is amended to read as |
|---|
| 26 | 9 | | follows: |

| 27 | 10 | | Sec. 25.027. RESTRICTION ON POSTING INFORMATION ON INTERNET |
|---|
| 28 | 11 | | WEBSITE [REGARDING CERTAIN RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY]. |
|---|
| 29 | 12 | | (a) Information in appraisal records may not be posted on the |
|---|
| 30 | 13 | | Internet if the information: |
|---|
| 31 | 14 | | (1) is a photograph, sketch, or floor plan of an |
|---|
| 32 | 15 | | improvement to real property that is designed primarily for use as a |
|---|
| 33 | 16 | | human residence; or |
|---|
| 34 | 17 | | (2) indicates the age of a property owner, including |
|---|
| 35 | 18 | | information indicating that a property owner is 65 years of age or |
|---|
| 36 | 19 | | older. |
|---|
| 37 | 20 | | (b) Subsection (a)(1) [This section] does not apply to an |
|---|
| 38 | 21 | | aerial photograph that depicts five or more separately owned |
|---|
| 39 | 22 | | buildings. |
|---|
| 40 | 23 | | SECTION 2. Not later than the effective date of this Act, |
|---|
| 41 | 24 | | the chief appraiser for each appraisal district shall ensure that |
|---|
| 42 | 25 | | information described by Section 25.027(a)(2), Tax Code, as added |
|---|
| 43 | 26 | | by this Act, that is posted on an Internet website controlled by the |
|---|
| 44 | 27 | | appraisal district is removed from the website. |
|---|
| 45 | 28 | | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
