                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 12, 2015      TO: Honorable Jodie Laubenberg, Chair, House Committee on Elections      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB3972 by Meyer (Relating to the use of school district buildings as polling place locations.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Election Code to require a presiding election judge to meet with certain school district officials of a school selected to be a polling place to develop a security plan for the building. The bill prescribes requirements of the security plan. The bill would require the Secretary of State to prescribe rules and a required form.  Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
