| 9 | 9 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 10 | 10 | | SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 572, Government Code, is |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | amended by adding Section 572.0321 to read as follows: |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Sec. 572.0321. AVAILABILITY OF CERTAIN STATEMENTS ON |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | INTERNET. (a) The commission shall make available to the public on |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | the commission's Internet website each financial statement filed |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | under this subchapter by the following persons: |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | (1) a member of the legislature; |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | (2) an executive or judicial officer elected in a |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | statewide election; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | (3) a member of the State Board of Education. |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | (b) The commission shall make a financial statement |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | described in Subsection (a) available on the commission's Internet |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | website not later than the 10th business day after the date the |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | statement is filed. |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | (c) The commission shall remove the home address of an |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | individual from a financial statement filed by the individual under |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | this subchapter before posting the statement on the commission's |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | Internet website under this section. |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | (d) Notwithstanding Section 572.032(c), the commission may |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | not remove a financial statement described in Subsection (a) from |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | the commission's Internet website before the 10th anniversary of |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | the date the commission makes the statement available on the |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | commission's Internet website. |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | SECTION 2. Section 572.0321, Government Code, as added by |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | this Act, applies only to a financial statement filed under |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | Subchapter B, Chapter 572, Government Code, that is due on or after |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | September 1, 2015. |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
