| 9 | 9 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Subchapter D, Chapter 25, Education Code, is | |
| 11 | 11 | amended by adding Section 25.115 to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | Sec. 25.115. REPORT OF CLASS SIZE TO AGENCY. Not later than | |
| 13 | 13 | the fourth Friday in October of each school year, a school district | |
| 14 | 14 | shall report to the agency the number of students enrolled as of | |
| 15 | 15 | September 1 in each class of each grade level from kindergarten | |
| 16 | 16 | through grade 12 in the district. | |
| 17 | 17 | SECTION 2. This Act applies beginning with the 2015-2016 | |
| 18 | 18 | school year. | |
| 19 | 19 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | |
| 20 | 20 | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | |
| 21 | 21 | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | |
| 22 | 22 | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | |
| 23 | 23 | Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
