77 relating to designating the fourth Saturday in July as National Day
88 of the Cowboy.
99 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1010 SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 662, Government Code, is
1111 amended by adding Section 662.061 to read as follows:
1212 Sec. 662.061. NATIONAL DAY OF THE COWBOY. (a) The fourth
1313 Saturday in July of each year is National Day of the Cowboy in
1414 recognition of the historic, cultural, and social contributions of
1515 the cowboy.
1616 (b) National Day of the Cowboy shall be regularly observed
1717 by appropriate ceremonies and activities.
1818 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
1919 a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
2020 provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
2121 Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
2222 Act takes effect September 1, 2015.
