| 9 | 9 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Section 814.105, Government Code, is amended by | |
| 11 | 11 | adding Subsection (e) to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | (e) Notwithstanding any other law, the service retirement | |
| 13 | 13 | annuity for service credited in the employee class of membership | |
| 14 | 14 | for a member who was not a member on the date hired, was hired on or | |
| 15 | 15 | after September 1, 2015, and is eligible to retire may not exceed | |
| 16 | 16 | the gross salary of a member of the United States armed forces on | |
| 17 | 17 | active duty at the pay grade of O-10 as defined by 37 U.S.C. Section | |
| 18 | 18 | 201(a). | |
| 19 | 19 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
