9 | 9 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Section 161.01035(b), Health and Safety Code, is | |
11 | 11 | amended to read as follows: | |
12 | 12 | (b) The department shall ensure that eligible health care | |
13 | 13 | providers participating in the vaccines for children program or the | |
14 | 14 | adult safety net vaccination program may select any licensed | |
15 | 15 | vaccine, including combination vaccines and any dosage forms that: | |
16 | 16 | (1) are recommended by the federal Advisory Committee | |
17 | 17 | on Immunization Practices; and | |
18 | 18 | (2) are made available to the department by the | |
19 | 19 | Centers for Disease Control and Prevention of the United States | |
20 | 20 | Public Health Service[; and | |
21 | 21 | [(3) for adult vaccines, are on the | |
22 | 22 | department-approved list of vaccines offered by the adult safety | |
23 | 23 | net vaccination program]. | |
24 | 24 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
