The bill would modify existing restrictions on which county commissioners courts could adopt a fire code. The bill would also prohibit certain counties from adopting a fire code that applies to certain facilities, buildings, structures, and activities. The bill would take effect immediately, or, if it does not receive the necessary vote, September 1, 2015. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
