                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 23, 2015      TO: Honorable Wayne Smith, Chair, House Committee on Licensing & Administrative Procedures      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB688 by Gutierrez (Relating to the composition and terms of office of the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Alcoholic Beverage Code to increase the number of commissioners for the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) from three to five. Although TABC anticipates increases in expenses related to travel, technology, and meeting space, this analysis assumes all costs associated with the bill can be absorbed within existing appropriations. The bill would take effect September 1, 2015. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
