| 9 | 9 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 10 | 10 | | SECTION 1. Sections 305.0061 (a) and (b), Government Code, |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | are amended to read as follows: |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | (a) If a registrant or a person on the registrant's behalf |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | and with the registrant's consent or ratification makes |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | expenditures that exceed $50 [60 percent of the amount of the |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | legislative per diem] in a day for transportation or lodging for a |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | member of the legislative or executive branch, the registrant shall |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | also state the following on the report filed under Section 305.006: |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | (1) the name of the member of the legislative or |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | executive branch in whose behalf the expenditure is made; |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | (2) the place and date of the transportation or |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | lodging; and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | (3) the purpose of the transportation or lodging. |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | (b) If a registrant or a person on the registrant's behalf |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | and with the registrant's consent or ratification makes |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | expenditures that exceed $50 [60 percent of the amount of the |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | legislative per diem] in a day for food and beverages for a member |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | of the legislative or executive branch or makes expenditures that |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | exceed $50 [60 percent of the amount of the legislative per diem] in |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | a day for entertainment for a member of the legislative or executive |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | branch or for the immediate family of a member of the legislative or |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | executive branch, the registrant shall also state the following on |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | the report filed under Section 305.006: |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | (1) the name of the member of the legislative or |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | executive branch in whose behalf the expenditure is made; |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | (2) the place and date of the expenditure; and |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | (3) the amount of the expenditure by the appropriate |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | category of the amount, as determined by the commission. |
|---|
| 38 | 38 | | SECTION 2. Section 305.0061 (g), Government Code, is |
|---|
| 39 | 39 | | repealed. |
|---|
| 40 | 40 | | SECTION 3. Section 305.0061, Government Code, as amended by |
|---|
| 41 | 41 | | this Act, applies only to a report required to be filed under |
|---|
| 42 | 42 | | Section 305.006, Government Code, on or after September 1, 2015. A |
|---|
| 43 | 43 | | report required to be filed under Section 305.006, Government Code, |
|---|
| 44 | 44 | | before September 1, 2015, is governed by the law in effect at the |
|---|
| 45 | 45 | | time the report is required to be filed, and the former law is |
|---|
| 46 | 46 | | continued in effect for that purpose. |
|---|
| 47 | 47 | | SECTION 4. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
