88 proposing a constitutional amendment relating to the right to hunt,

1010 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1111 SECTION 1. Article I, Texas Constitution, is amended by
1212 adding Section 34 to read as follows:
1313 Sec. 34. (a) The people have the right to hunt, fish, and
1414 harvest wildlife, including by the use of traditional methods,
1515 subject to laws or regulations to conserve and manage wildlife and
1616 preserve the future of hunting and fishing.
1717 (b) Hunting and fishing are preferred methods of managing
1818 and controlling wildlife.
1919 (c) This section does not affect any provision of law
2020 relating to trespass, property rights, or eminent domain.
2121 (d) This section does not affect the power of the
2222 Legislature to authorize municipalities to regulate the discharge
2323 of weapons in populated areas in the interests of public safety.
2424 SECTION 2. This proposed constitutional amendment shall be
2525 submitted to the voters at an election to be held November 3, 2015.
2626 The ballot shall be printed to permit voting for or against the
2727 proposition: "The constitutional amendment recognizing the right
2828 of the people to hunt, fish, and harvest wildlife subject to laws
2929 that promote wildlife conservation."
