| 8 | 8 | | BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 9 | 9 | | SECTION 1. Article VII, Texas Constitution, is amended by |

| 10 | 10 | | adding Section 3-c to read as follows: |

| 11 | 11 | | Sec. 3-c. The legislature may enact a general, local, or |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | special law authorizing the removal from office of a member of the |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | board of trustees of an independent school district by a majority |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | vote of the qualified voters of the school district voting at an |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | election held to recall the school district trustee. |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | SECTION 2. This proposed constitutional amendment shall be |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | submitted to the voters at an election to be held November 3, 2015. |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | The ballot shall be printed to provide for voting for or against the |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | proposition: "The constitutional amendment authorizing elections |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | for the recall of independent school district trustees." |
