| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, A life made rich through meaningful service drew to |

| 6 | 7 | | a close when Fred Gray of Gatesville passed away on December 4, |

| 7 | 8 | | 2014, at the age of 57; and |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Gray was born on November 1, 1957, in Rochester, |
|---|
| 9 | 10 | | New Hampshire, to Fred H. and Lucille Larochelle Gray; he graduated |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | from Rochester High School in 1975 before moving to Texas, where in |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | 1980, he began his career in firefighting and emergency medical |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | services; and |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, For 17 years, Mr. Gray worked as the EMS director |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | for Coryell Memorial Hospital; he also served as the Coryell County |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | emergency management coordinator and, for the last five years, as a |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | program director with the Air Evac Lifeteam at Base 66 in Killeen; |

| 18 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Gray enjoyed the love and support of his wife, |

| 19 | 20 | | Janice Ray, whom he married on November 8, 2002, and he was the |

| 20 | 21 | | proud father of four children, Rachel, Kevin, Lance, and Jeremy; he |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | was also a valued member of First Baptist Church in Gatesville; and |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | WHEREAS, Devoted to his family and to his community, Fred |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | Gray lived a caring and purposeful life, and he will forever be |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | remembered with deep affection by all who held him close to their |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | hearts; now, therefore, be it |

| 26 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |

| 27 | 28 | | Legislature hereby honor the memory of Fred Gray and that sincere |
