45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, Jody Tillery was named Officer of the Year by the
67 Rockdale Police Department on February 21, 2015, in recognition of
78 his outstanding service; and
89 WHEREAS, Presented during the annual police officer and
910 firefighter appreciation event at the Rockdale Knights of Columbus
1011 Hall, the Officer of the Year award is based on points officers
1112 compile over the course of carrying out their duties; Officer
1213 Tillery earned the highest number of points by issuing citations
1314 and warnings and making warrant, felony, and drug arrests; and
1415 WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, this esteemed public servant
1516 enjoys the love and support of a fine family that includes his wife,
1617 Laura, and his daughter, Taytum; and
1718 WHEREAS, Officer Tillery's skill, professionalism, and
1819 commitment to the safety and welfare of the public have greatly
1920 benefited the citizens of Rockdale and garnered him the respect and
2021 admiration of his fellow officers, and he may indeed take great
2122 pride in this prestigious honor; now, therefore, be it
2223 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
2324 Legislature hereby congratulate Jody Tillery on being named Officer
2425 of the Year by the Rockdale Police Department and extend to him
2526 sincere best wishes for continued success with his important work;
2627 and, be it further
2728 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2829 prepared for Officer Tillery as an expression of high regard by the
2930 Texas House of Representatives.
