| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Leona Williams was named the Senior Citizen of the |

| 6 | 7 | | Year at the Burnet Chamber of Commerce annual awards banquet on |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Each year, the Burnet chamber recognizes |

| 9 | 10 | | individuals and businesses for their outstanding achievements and |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | for their efforts to benefit the local community; and |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Williams is a former teacher and principal at |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | Burnet Elementary School; at the age of 93, she continues to work |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | part-time at the local Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, where she is a |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | bright and comforting presence for families who have lost loved |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | ones; and |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Through her exceptional contributions, Leona |

| 17 | 18 | | Williams has furthered Burnet's reputation as a great place to |

| 18 | 19 | | live, work, and raise a family, and she is indeed deserving of this |

| 19 | 20 | | notable honor; now, therefore, be it |

| 20 | 21 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
