| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, The citizens of Hewitt gathered together on November |

| 6 | 7 | | 7, 2014, to celebrate the grand opening of the city's new public |

|---|
| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, The building, which houses both the police and the |
|---|
| 9 | 10 | | fire departments, includes a fitness and training room, a secure |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | police evidence room, and a four-bay wing for the fire department; |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | it was designed to accommodate the needs of Hewitt's growing |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | population, which is projected to increase significantly in the |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | next 15 to 20 years; and |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, The courageous men and women of the public safety |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | profession exhibit selfless dedication and tireless efforts in |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | behalf of the common good, and this new facility in Hewitt provides |

| 17 | 18 | | area personnel with a structure that is fitting for their important |

| 18 | 19 | | work; now, therefore, be it |

| 19 | 20 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |

| 20 | 21 | | Legislature hereby commemorate the grand opening of Hewitt's new |

| 21 | 22 | | public safety facility and commend all those involved in protecting |

| 22 | 23 | | the city's residents for their service to the community; and, be it |
