No. 1230 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Family and friends were greatly saddened by the loss of Jimmy Wayne Granderson of Robstown on February 26, 2015, at the age of 71; and WHEREAS, Born to James and Gwendolyn Granderson on October 25, 1943, Jimmy Granderson enjoyed a successful career in public service; committed to protecting his fellow citizens, he held a job at the Nueces County Sheriff's Office until his retirement; and WHEREAS, Mr. Granderson found a true companion in his wife, the former Harriet Cliffe, and through the years, their family grew to include four children, James, David, Nicole, and Tonya, and six grandchildren; and WHEREAS, Jimmy Granderson touched the lives of many people during his rich and purposeful journey on this earth, and he will forever be remembered with deep affection by all those who held him close in their hearts; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Jimmy Wayne Granderson and extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife, Harriet Cliffe Granderson; to his sons, James M. Granderson and his wife, Gina, and David Granderson and his wife, Lexie; to his daughters, Nicole Wilson and her husband, Chris, and Tonya West and her special friend, Lea Ann Fondren; to his grandchildren, Ashley, Jessica, Nicholas, Cody, Jacob, and Sidney; to his mother, Gwen Douglas; to his brother, Michael Granderson; to his sisters, Charlotte Clark and Gwenda Hearnsberger; and to his other relatives and friends; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Jimmy Wayne Granderson.
