| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Captain Dana Lechner has been named the 2015 |

| 6 | 7 | | Firefighter of the Year by the Corpus Christi Fire Department; and |

| 7 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Captain Lechner joined the Corpus Christi Fire |

| 8 | 9 | | Department in 1990, and throughout his 25-year tenure, he has |

| 9 | 10 | | demonstrated exemplary leadership skills and an exceptional |

| 10 | 11 | | commitment to his fellow firefighters and to his work in the |

| 11 | 12 | | community; and |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Currently assigned to Engine 3 at the Morgan Avenue |

| 13 | 14 | | Rescue Station, Captain Lechner has furthered the department's |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | vital mission of protecting lives and property in an urban center |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | that covers some 170 square miles; as Firefighter of the Year, he |

| 16 | 17 | | serves as a role model to others, and he will represent the |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | department at city events throughout 2015; and |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Every hour of every day, the first responders of |

| 19 | 20 | | Texas stand ready to come to the aid of citizens in need; Captain |

| 20 | 21 | | Dana Lechner's courage, dedication, and initiative have greatly |

| 21 | 22 | | benefited the people of Corpus Christi and earned him the profound |
