H.R. No. 1268
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The Heart of Texas Sertoma Club in Waco has set an
inspiring example of giving through its contributions to
individuals who are hard of hearing or deaf; and
WHEREAS, Chartered in 2006, this nonprofit organization
partners with the Baylor University Audiology Clinic to provide
free hearing aids to area children, hearing screening audiometers
to Region 12 schools, and scholarships to high school and college
students with hearing loss or deafness; and
WHEREAS, Through their charitable actions, the members of the
Heart of Texas Sertoma Club have made a positive difference in the
lives of many Central Texas residents, and they are indeed
deserving of recognition; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby commend the Heart of Texas Sertoma Club for its
exceptional generosity in behalf of people who are hard of hearing
or deaf and extend to all those associated with the organization
sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the club as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
