| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, The Heart of Texas Sertoma Club in Waco has set an |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Chartered in 2006, this nonprofit organization |

| 9 | 10 | | partners with the Baylor University Audiology Clinic to provide |

| 10 | 11 | | free hearing aids to area children, hearing screening audiometers |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | to Region 12 schools, and scholarships to high school and college |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | students with hearing loss or deafness; and |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Through their charitable actions, the members of the |

| 14 | 15 | | Heart of Texas Sertoma Club have made a positive difference in the |

| 15 | 16 | | lives of many Central Texas residents, and they are indeed |

| 16 | 17 | | deserving of recognition; now, therefore, be it |

| 17 | 18 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |

| 18 | 19 | | Legislature hereby commend the Heart of Texas Sertoma Club for its |

| 19 | 20 | | exceptional generosity in behalf of people who are hard of hearing |

| 20 | 21 | | or deaf and extend to all those associated with the organization |

| 21 | 22 | | sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
