| 10 | 11 | | annual statewide competition brought together 35 high school |

| 11 | 12 | | mariachi ensembles from across Texas; and |

| 12 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Under the leadership of band director Alex |

| 13 | 14 | | Rodriguez, the mariachi musicians of Rio Grande City High School |

| 14 | 15 | | took top honors for the third year in a row, winning Class 5A for the |

| 15 | 16 | | first time after two consecutive Class 4A titles; and |

| 16 | 17 | | WHEREAS, The members of Mariachi Cascabel are a source of |

| 18 | 19 | | musicians may take well-deserved satisfaction in this outstanding |
