H.R. No. 1292
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Ty and Seth Moorhead of Jasper High School placed
first in a tournament hosted by the Deep East Texas High School
Fishing Series on February 28, 2015; and
WHEREAS, The duo was one of 28 teams that launched their boats
from Jackson Hill Marina to fish Sam Rayburn Lake as part of the
seventh DETX tournament of the season, with the contestants being
judged on the cumulative weight of their top five catches; and
WHEREAS, Guided by boat captain Jason Moorhead, brothers Ty
and Seth Moorhead proved the frigid winter conditions to be no
obstacle, reeling in an impressive haul of bass weighing in at 14.79
pounds; and
WHEREAS, These young anglers have set an example of skill and
teamwork to which others may aspire, and they may take justifiable
pride in this accomplishment; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Ty and Seth Moorhead on winning the
Deep East Texas High School Fishing Series tournament on February
28, 2015, and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued
success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the brothers as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
