45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, The resilience and strength of character
67 demonstrated by centenarians are a source of enduring inspiration,
78 and on November 15, 2014, Mandy Lee Anderson of Livingston joined
89 the elite group of Texans who can reflect on 100 years of life well
910 lived; and
1011 WHEREAS, From the Great Depression and World War II to the
1112 dawn of the space age and the invention of the Internet,
1213 Mrs. Anderson has lived through an array of historic events and
1314 witnessed remarkable changes and marvels since her birth in 1914;
1415 and
1516 WHEREAS, Mrs. Anderson is a source of wisdom and joy to her loved
1617 ones, and over the years her family has grown to include her daughter
1718 and son-in-law, Nancy Marie and Maxie Allen, as well as 7 grandchildren,
1819 22 great-grandchildren, 44 great-great-grandchildren, and 11
1920 great-great-great-grandchildren; and
2021 WHEREAS, Mandy Lee Anderson has earned the admiration and
2122 affection of countless people over the last century, and she
2223 continues to enrich the lives of all who are fortunate enough to
2324 know her; now, therefore, be it
2425 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
2526 Legislature hereby congratulate Mandy Lee Anderson on her 100th
2627 birthday and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued
2728 happiness and good fortune; and, be it further
2829 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2930 prepared for Mrs. Anderson as an expression of high regard by the
3031 Texas House of Representatives.
