| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Texas colleges and universities contribute |

| 6 | 7 | | immeasurably to the future of the Lone Star State, and those |

| 7 | 8 | | professionals who give generously of their expertise to these vital |

| 8 | 9 | | institutions of higher education are indeed deserving of |
|---|

| 10 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Since 1995, Dr. Linda Brown has been a member of the |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | faculty at El Paso Community College, where she currently teaches |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | courses in interpersonal communication, professional and |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | organizational communication, and public speaking; a certified |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | trainer and mediator, she provides training to students and her |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | colleagues as a member of the EPCC Leadership Development Academy |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | and Leadership EPCC; and |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | WHEREAS, This esteemed educator earned her bachelor's and |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | master's degrees from The University of Texas at El Paso, and she |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | completed her doctorate in educational administration at New Mexico |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | State University; Dr. Brown has worked as a consultant and trainer |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | for a variety of educational, corporate, and government entities |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | over the past 15 years, and she has served as a volunteer at local |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | K-12 schools for more than a decade; and |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | WHEREAS, Dr. Linda Brown has greatly benefited the students |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | of El Paso Community College, and in so doing, she has garnered the |
|---|
| 26 | 27 | | lasting respect and admiration of countless people along the way; |

| 27 | 28 | | now, therefore, be it |

| 28 | 29 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |

| 29 | 30 | | Legislature hereby honor Dr. Linda Brown for her service as a |

| 31 | 32 | | best wishes for continued success with her important work; and, be |
