| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Megan Allgeier of San Angelo has attained the Girl |

| 7 | 8 | | WHEREAS, To earn this distinction, Ms. Allgeier successfully |

| 8 | 9 | | met a series of requirements emphasizing community service, |

| 9 | 10 | | personal and spiritual growth, positive values, and leadership |

| 10 | 11 | | skills; in addition, she planned and implemented a Girl Scout Gold |

| 11 | 12 | | Award project that involved the creation of a dog park in San |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | Angelo; she spoke at city council and parks and recreation |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | committee meetings, and she also organized a walkathon and glow run |

| 14 | 15 | | to raise funds for the construction of the park; and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, By encouraging young women to build confidence, |

| 16 | 17 | | explore career opportunities, and become more socially conscious, |

| 17 | 18 | | the Girl Scout program is helping its participants to achieve their |

| 18 | 19 | | greatest potential as engaged citizens and leaders; and |

| 19 | 20 | | WHEREAS, The maturity and dedication that Megan Allgeier has |

| 20 | 21 | | demonstrated in pursuit of her goals truly exemplify the highest |

| 21 | 22 | | ideals of the Girl Scout organization, and she indeed merits |

| 22 | 23 | | special recognition for her achievement; now, therefore, be it |
