| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Students, faculty, and alumni of Baylor University |

| 6 | 7 | | celebrated the dedication of the Clyde Hart Track and Field Stadium |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, This impressive athletic facility is able to |

| 9 | 10 | | accommodate 5,000 spectators and participants and features an |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | indoor practice area, a champions plaza recognizing former Baylor |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | greats, and a state-of-the-art training facility, among other |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | amenities; built at a cost of $18.1 million, the Clyde Hart Track |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | and Field Stadium received generous financial support from a number |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | of distinguished alumni; and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, The stadium is named in honor of the longest-tenured |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | coach in school history, Clyde Hart, who guided the Bears' track and |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | field program for 42 years and currently serves as the university's |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | director of track and field; under his leadership, Baylor teams and |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | athletes have compiled 36 NCAA championships, 9 Olympic gold |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | medals, and more than 600 All-American selections; and |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | WHEREAS, The Clyde Hart Track and Field Stadium pays tribute |

| 22 | 23 | | to an admired coach and demonstrates the school's commitment to |

| 23 | 24 | | athletic excellence, and it is a welcome addition to the Baylor |

| 24 | 25 | | University campus; now, therefore, be it |

| 25 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |

| 26 | 27 | | Legislature hereby commemorate the dedication of the Clyde Hart |

| 27 | 28 | | Track and Field Stadium and extend congratulations to all those |

| 28 | 29 | | associated with its completion; and, be it further |
