| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Four musicians from Midway High School in Waco were |

| 6 | 7 | | chosen as 2015 Texas All-State orchestra members by the Texas Music |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, The TMEA All-State designation is the highest |

| 9 | 10 | | achievement that a Texas music student can earn; more than 60,000 |

| 10 | 11 | | young people from across the state compete every year for a chair in |

| 11 | 12 | | one of 15 All-State bands, orchestras, and choirs; those who are |

| 12 | 13 | | selected for one of the ensembles are among the top one percent of |

| 13 | 14 | | high school musicians in the Lone Star State and are invited to |

| 14 | 15 | | attend the annual TMEA convention in San Antonio, where they |

| 15 | 16 | | participate in three days of intense rehearsals and perform a |

| 18 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Benefiting from the guidance of Midway High |

| 22 | 23 | | Hannah Burnett for the symphony orchestra, senior bassist Brendan |

| 23 | 24 | | Carrillo and freshman violinist Augusta Schubert for the |

| 24 | 25 | | philharmonic orchestra, and sophomore violinist Edward Kim for the |

| 25 | 26 | | string orchestra; and |

| 26 | 27 | | WHEREAS, Through their skill and hard work, these gifted |

| 27 | 28 | | young Texans have earned a place among the state's elite high school |

| 28 | 29 | | musicians, and they may indeed take great pride in this outstanding |
