 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, The House of Representatives of the State of Texas
 is pleased to recognize Rosie Castro, who has been selected for
 induction on March 21, 2015, into the San Antonio Women's Hall of
 Fame for her outstanding work in leadership in higher education;
 and
 WHEREAS, Since 1984, the San Antonio Women's Hall of Fame
 annually honors those women who have contributed significantly to
 the San Antonio community and the Bexar County region through their
 accomplishments in their profession or field of service; and
 WHEREAS, A longtime supporter of higher education in Bexar
 County, Rosie Castro has worked tirelessly extend the opportunities
 provided by higher education to the community; and
 WHEREAS, A gifted teacher, professor and higher education
 administrator, Rosie Castro juggled these responsibilities along
 with her role as a community leader and mother of twin boys; and
 WHEREAS, She advanced the cause of higher education in Bexar
 County by serving as both the Director of the Center of Academic
 Transitions and the Dean for Student Success at Palo Alto College;
 now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the State of
 Texas, 84th Legislature, hereby commend Rosie Castro for her
 exceptional achievements and extend congratulations to her on her
 induction into the San Antonio Women's Hall of Fame; and, be it
 further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for her as an expression of high regard and esteem by the
 Texas House of Representatives.
