| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Combining their dedicated efforts, the members of |

| 9 | 10 | | three associations are advocating for the construction of new roads |

| 10 | 11 | | that will not require drivers to pay tolls; and |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Texans Uniting for Reform and Freedom is a nonprofit |

| 12 | 13 | | organization committed to educating the public about the tolling of |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | roads, the implications of comprehensive development agreements, |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | and the use of eminent domain; in years past, TURF helped stop the |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | proposed Trans-Texas Corridor and was instrumental in securing a |

| 16 | 17 | | moratorium on public-private partnership road contracts; and |

| 17 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Eagle Forum, founded by Phyllis Schlafly, has been |

| 18 | 19 | | at the forefront of the pro-family movement since 1972; its |

| 19 | 20 | | endeavors have garnered substantial local and national media |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | coverage, and they have been recognized by presidential |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | administrations; the organization promotes individual liberty, |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | respect for family integrity, public and private virtue, and |

| 23 | 24 | | private enterprise; and |

| 24 | 25 | | WHEREAS, One of the largest constitutional conservative |

| 25 | 26 | | citizen organizations in Texas, Grassroots America-We the People |

| 26 | 27 | | supports limited government, personal responsibility, |

| 27 | 28 | | good citizenship, traditional family values, and the free market |
|---|
| 28 | 29 | | system; it works closely with state and national policy groups and |
|---|
| 29 | 30 | | think tanks, and it is networked with more than 300 conservative |

| 31 | 32 | | WHEREAS, The continued prosperity of the Lone Star State |
