| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Martha Y. Reyes has greatly benefited the youth of |

| 6 | 7 | | her community through her service as a member of the Ysleta |

| 7 | 8 | | Independent School District Board of Trustees; and |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, A native of El Paso, Ms. Reyes is serving her fourth |

| 9 | 10 | | term as the District 6 trustee; she currently holds the position of |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | board secretary and has previously served as president and vice |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | president; she is a proud graduate of Ysleta High School and has |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | been recognized by the institution as an Honored Ex; and |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Reyes has served on the Texas Association of |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | School Boards since 2008; during her tenure, she has co-chaired the |

| 15 | 16 | | Budget and Finance Committee and been selected as a delegate to the |

| 16 | 17 | | Federal Relations Network in Washington, D.C.; and |

| 17 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Martha Reyes has demonstrated a steadfast |

| 18 | 19 | | commitment to building a bright and promising future for local |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | children, and in so doing, she has earned the deep respect and |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | appreciation of her fellow Texans; now, therefore, be it |

| 21 | 22 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |

| 22 | 23 | | Legislature hereby honor Martha Y. Reyes for her service as an |

| 23 | 24 | | Ysleta ISD board trustee and extend to her sincere best wishes for |

| 24 | 25 | | the future; and, be it further |
