45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, Martha Y. Reyes has greatly benefited the youth of
67 her community through her service as a member of the Ysleta
78 Independent School District Board of Trustees; and
89 WHEREAS, A native of El Paso, Ms. Reyes is serving her fourth
910 term as the District 6 trustee; she currently holds the position of
1011 board secretary and has previously served as president and vice
1112 president; she is a proud graduate of Ysleta High School and has
1213 been recognized by the institution as an Honored Ex; and
1314 WHEREAS, Ms. Reyes has served on the Texas Association of
1415 School Boards since 2008; during her tenure, she has co-chaired the
1516 Budget and Finance Committee and been selected as a delegate to the
1617 Federal Relations Network in Washington, D.C.; and
1718 WHEREAS, Martha Reyes has demonstrated a steadfast
1819 commitment to building a bright and promising future for local
1920 children, and in so doing, she has earned the deep respect and
2021 appreciation of her fellow Texans; now, therefore, be it
2122 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
2223 Legislature hereby honor Martha Y. Reyes for her service as an
2324 Ysleta ISD board trustee and extend to her sincere best wishes for
2425 the future; and, be it further
2526 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2627 prepared for Ms. Reyes as an expression of high regard by the Texas
2728 House of Representatives.
