| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Connie Woodruff has greatly benefited the youth of |

| 6 | 7 | | her community through her service as a member of the Ysleta |

| 7 | 8 | | Independent School District Board of Trustees; and |
|---|
| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Educated in Ysleta ISD schools and a graduate of |

| 9 | 10 | | West Texas State University, Ms. Woodruff was elected in May 2013 |

| 10 | 11 | | as the District 2 trustee; and |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Woodruff has been an educator for 19 years at |

| 12 | 13 | | Immanuel Christian School, where she also served as a department |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | chair; in addition, she has taught Sunday school and vacation Bible |

| 14 | 15 | | school at Tigua Baptist Church and First Baptist Church, and she has |

| 15 | 16 | | been a member of the DARE Committee at North Loop Elementary School; |

| 17 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Connie Woodruff has demonstrated a steadfast |

| 18 | 19 | | commitment to building a bright and promising future for local |

| 19 | 20 | | children, and in so doing, she has earned the deep respect and |

| 20 | 21 | | appreciation of her fellow Texans; now, therefore, be it |

| 21 | 22 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |

| 22 | 23 | | Legislature hereby honor Connie Woodruff for her service on the |

| 23 | 24 | | Ysleta ISD Board of Trustees and extend to her sincere best wishes |
