| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Residents of El Paso benefit each day from the |

| 7 | 8 | | quality of life in their communities through the fulfillment of |

| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Vincent Perez was elected to El Paso County |

| 10 | 11 | | Commissioners Court Precinct No. 3 in 2014, and he currently |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | represents more than 200,000 constituents and oversees a budget of |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | nearly $300 million; during his time in office, Commissioner Perez |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | has worked diligently to improve access to affordable health care |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | and housing opportunities for county residents and to expand |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | emergency services for individuals living outside the city; and |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | WHEREAS, A graduate of Bel Air High School, this esteemed |

| 17 | 18 | | gentleman holds a bachelor's degree in foreign service and a |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | master's degree in international law and government from Georgetown |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | University; and |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Vincent Perez has demonstrated a steadfast |

| 21 | 22 | | commitment to making El Paso an even better place in which to live |

| 22 | 23 | | and work, and in so doing, he has earned the deep respect and |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | appreciation of his fellow Texans; now, therefore, be it |

| 24 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |

| 25 | 26 | | Legislature hereby honor Vincent Perez for his service as an El Paso |

| 26 | 27 | | County commissioner and extend to him sincere best wishes for the |
