| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Patricia Torres McLean has greatly benefited the |

| 6 | 7 | | youth of her community through her service as a member of the Ysleta |

| 7 | 8 | | Independent School District Board of Trustees; and |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, A longtime YISD volunteer, Ms. McLean was appointed |

| 9 | 10 | | in November 2010 as the District 7 trustee and elected to the |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | position in 2011; she has served as board president since 2013; she |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | currently represents the district at the Rio Grande Council of |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | Governments and on the Central Appraisal District Board; and |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Ms. McLean graduated from The University of Texas at |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | El Paso and went on to enjoy a notable career in the banking |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | industry; a member of the Texas Association of School Boards |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | Legislative Council, she is also secretary for the Far West Texas |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | School Boards Association, and she previously served on the Region |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | 19 Honor Board; and |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Patricia Torres McLean has demonstrated a steadfast |

| 20 | 21 | | commitment to building a bright and promising future for local |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | children, and in so doing, she has earned the deep respect and |

| 22 | 23 | | appreciation of her fellow Texans; now, therefore, be it |

| 23 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |

| 24 | 25 | | Legislature hereby honor Patricia Torres McLean for her service on |

| 25 | 26 | | the Ysleta ISD Board of Trustees and extend to her sincere best |
