| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, The son of Roy Autry Jr. and Martha Jean Harwell, |

| 9 | 10 | | Brett Autry was born on January 18, 1954; he grew up with two |

| 10 | 11 | | sisters, Alana and Tracy, and graduated from Coleman High School; |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | and |

| 12 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Autry married the former Molly Sue Love in 1974; |

| 13 | 14 | | they became the parents of three treasured children, Joshua, Leah, |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | and Evan; in recent years, he knew the joy of becoming a proud |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | grandfather; and |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | WHEREAS, For more than a half-century, Mr. Autry worked at |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | his family's newspapers, the Coleman Chronicle and Democrat-Voice; |

| 18 | 19 | | he began his career in commercial printing and production and then |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | followed in the footsteps of his father and grandfather to serve as |

| 20 | 21 | | copublisher and, beginning in 2011, publisher; and |

| 21 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Gregarious and witty, Mr. Autry endeared himself to |

| 22 | 23 | | everyone and had a large circle of friends; he was an avid golfer |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | and a loyal fan of the Texas Longhorns and Coleman Bluecats, and he |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | never passed up an opportunity to sing karaoke; in addition, he |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | enjoyed vacationing in Mexico; and |

| 26 | 27 | | WHEREAS, Those fortunate enough to have known Brett Autry |

| 27 | 28 | | will remember the way he touched their lives with his warmth and |

| 28 | 29 | | great kindness, and he will forever hold a treasured place in their |

| 29 | 30 | | hearts; now, therefore, be it |
