| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Entering the postseason on a wave of momentum after |

| 10 | 11 | | winning 11 consecutive games to close out the regular season, the |

| 11 | 12 | | Lions began their playoff run by reeling off victories over |

| 12 | 13 | | Hitchcock, Palestine Westwood, Hempstead, and Rockdale High |

| 13 | 14 | | Schools; and |

| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, In the regional final contest, the Kountze players |

| 15 | 16 | | took the floor against Crockett High School and turned in a |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | commanding performance, winning 89-65 to punch their ticket to the |

| 17 | 18 | | state tournament; there, the Lions saw their season come to an end |

| 18 | 19 | | in a semifinal loss to Brock High School, concluding the year with a |
