| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Dress for Success Corpus Christi works to empower |

| 10 | 11 | | with professional apparel and other forms of assistance, such as |

| 11 | 12 | | interview training, as they seek to gain financial independence and |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | a rewarding career; the group is affiliated with the global |

| 13 | 14 | | nonprofit Dress for Success organization, enabling its clients to |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | access a broad network of valuable programs and resources; and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Executive director and cofounder Cathy Colomo |

| 16 | 17 | | Riojas and cofounder Anna Flores have been instrumental in the |

| 17 | 18 | | achievements of Dress for Success Corpus Christi to date; the |

| 18 | 19 | | organization also benefits from the volunteers who help to |

| 19 | 20 | | coordinate events and from those who generously donate clothing and |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | accessories; and |

| 21 | 22 | | WHEREAS, During a promising first year, Dress for Success |

| 22 | 23 | | Corpus Christi has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to help |

| 23 | 24 | | area women reach their professional goals, and the group may take |

| 24 | 25 | | justifiable pride in its notable work to change many lives for the |

| 26 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |

| 27 | 28 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Dress for Success Corpus Christi on |

| 29 | 30 | | organization sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
