45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, Shane Haggerty has greatly benefited the youth of
67 his community through his service as a member of the Ysleta
78 Independent School District Board of Trustees; and
89 WHEREAS, Born and raised in El Paso, Mr. Haggerty was
910 educated in Ysleta ISD schools; he was elected in May 2010 to
1011 represent the Parkland area as the District 3 trustee, and he has
1112 also served on the district's Strategic Planning Committee; and
1213 WHEREAS, Mr. Haggerty is a 2006 graduate of the University of
1314 Phoenix and a Microsoft Certified Professional; he has been
1415 employed with the El Paso Fire Department for 17 years and also
1516 works as a technology consultant for several local companies;
1617 dedicated to enhancing educational opportunities in El Paso, he has
1718 served as president of the Far West Texas School Boards Association
1819 and the T-STEM Advisory Board and as a representative for Region XIX
1920 on the Texas Association of School Boards Legislative Advisory
2021 Committee; and
2122 WHEREAS, Shane Haggerty has demonstrated a steadfast
2223 commitment to building a bright and promising future for local
2324 children, and in so doing, he has earned the deep respect and
2425 appreciation of his fellow Texans; now, therefore, be it
2526 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
2627 Legislature hereby honor Shane Haggerty for his service with the
2728 Ysleta ISD Board of Trustees and extend to him sincere best wishes
2829 for the future; and, be it further
2930 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3031 prepared for Mr. Haggerty as an expression of high regard by the
3132 Texas House of Representatives.
