5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Carol Luebke of Dallas is retiring from the |

6 | 7 | | Cornerstone Credit Union League in April 2015, drawing to a close an |

7 | 8 | | exceptional tenure that spanned 43 years; and |
---|
8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, A native of Wisconsin, Carol Luebke joined the Texas |
---|
9 | 10 | | Credit Union League as secretary to the board in 1972, bringing to |
---|
10 | 11 | | the position a wealth of knowledge from her experience with CUNA |
---|
11 | 12 | | International; she quickly established herself as a diligent and |
---|
12 | 13 | | capable employee, and one of her first tasks was to assist in |
---|
13 | 14 | | revising the league's governance structure and bylaws; and |
---|
14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Well known to people throughout the credit union |
---|
15 | 16 | | system for her expertise and willingness to help others, Ms. Luebke |
---|
16 | 17 | | was later promoted to vice president of board, chapter, and council |
---|
17 | 18 | | relations and became a trusted member of the league's senior |
---|
18 | 19 | | management; among her many responsibilities, she worked |
---|
19 | 20 | | extensively with credit union volunteers and acted as keeper of the |
---|
20 | 21 | | corporate meeting records, a role in which she developed an |
---|
21 | 22 | | encyclopedic knowledge of the league that made her an invaluable |
---|
22 | 23 | | asset to the organization's leaders and staff; in 2013, she took on |
---|
23 | 24 | | one of her greatest challenges as part of the team that helped |
---|
24 | 25 | | consolidate the Texas, Arkansas, and Oklahoma Credit Union Leagues |
---|
25 | 26 | | to create the Cornerstone Credit Union League; and |
---|
26 | 27 | | WHEREAS, In all of her endeavors, Ms. Luebke enjoys the |

27 | 28 | | support of her husband of 22 years, Jerry; following her |
---|
28 | 29 | | retirement, she plans to continue to serve her industry by helping |
---|
29 | 30 | | with financial education initiatives as a volunteer for the |
---|
30 | 31 | | Cornerstone Foundation; and |
---|
31 | 32 | | WHEREAS, Carol Luebke has exemplified the highest ideals of |
---|
32 | 33 | | her profession throughout her career, and her outstanding work |
---|
33 | 34 | | ethic and unwavering dedication to the "People Helping People" |
---|
34 | 35 | | philosophy have earned her the lasting respect and admiration of |
---|
35 | 36 | | her peers; now, therefore, be it |

36 | 37 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |

37 | 38 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Carol Luebke on her retirement from |

38 | 39 | | the Cornerstone Credit Union League and extend to her sincere best |

39 | 40 | | wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further |
