R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Monty and Mary Rodgers of Van are celebrating their
50th wedding anniversary on February 7, 2015, and they may indeed
reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have shared;
and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Rodgers exchanged the vows of
matrimony in Talco in 1965, and over the course of their marriage,
they have found in each other a loving life partner; and
WHEREAS, The couple count among their blessings a fine family
that includes their children, Amy Pringle and Neill Rodgers, with
whom they treasure sharing many special occasions; and
WHEREAS, For half a century, Monty and Mary Rodgers have
brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it
is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Monty and Mary Rodgers on their
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes
for continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Rodgers as an expression of high regard
by the Texas House of Representatives.
