H.R. No. 1524
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Sharing a deep bond of love that has spanned five
decades, Gary and RaJean Vawter of Canton are celebrating their
50th wedding anniversary on June 6, 2015; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Vawter met in the bride's hometown of
York, Nebraska, where they were attending college; they exchanged
the vows of matrimony on that memorable day in 1965, and over the
course of their marriage, they have found in each other a devoted
life partner; the couple moved to Nacogdoches to complete their
undergraduate degrees and have lived in Mr. Vawter's home state for
the past 48 years; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Vawter count among their blessings a
fine family that includes their three sons and daughters-in-law,
Brock and Cheryl, Brent and Paula, and Brad and Brenda, as well as
their four grandchildren, Austin, Miranda, Avery, and Brenden, with
whom they treasure spending many special occasions; they are also
the parents of a beloved daughter, the late Johnna; and
WHEREAS, Looking back over the past 50 years, Gary and RaJean
Vawter can savor a wealth of cherished family memories and know that
the strength of their love and commitment ensures that many more
joyful times await them; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Gary and RaJ
ean Vawter on their
50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Vawter as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
