| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Michael Silvas has earned the great esteem of |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Elected to the Pueblo's governing body on December |

| 9 | 10 | | 31, 2014, Mr. Silvas currently serves as the maintenance manager at |

| 10 | 11 | | Native Landscape and Maintenance, where he oversees 12 employees |

| 11 | 12 | | and is responsible for landscaping contracts for commercial |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | buildings throughout El Paso; he previously worked for Three C's |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | Contractors as manager of the maintenance division and was also |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | employed by the Socorro Independent School District; Mr. Silvas |

| 15 | 16 | | attended El Paso Community College and earned his commercial |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | applicator certification with the Texas Department of Agriculture; |

| 18 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Heir to a proud culture, Michael Silvas is helping |

| 19 | 20 | | to preserve the vital traditions and values of the Pueblo while |

| 20 | 21 | | working to enhance the quality of life for its people, and he is |

| 21 | 22 | | indeed deserving of the trust that has been placed in him by members |

| 22 | 23 | | of his community; now, therefore, be it |

| 23 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
