| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Roberto Pedraza III has earned the great esteem of |

| 6 | 7 | | members of the Ysleta del Sur Pueblo community through his service |

| 7 | 8 | | as a tribal councilman; and |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Elected to the Pueblo's governing body on December |

| 9 | 10 | | 31, 2012, Mr. Pedraza has served on the Housing Committee and on the |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | Investment Committee, where he oversees the tribe's education |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | endowment, permanent fund, and other fiscal assets; he also serves |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | as a representative on the Drug Court and Youth Court programs, and |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | he previously held the position of mayordomo for the Feast of San |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | Antonio; and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Pedraza is a 1995 graduate of Ysleta High School |

| 16 | 17 | | and is currently employed as fleet manager at the Speaking Rock |

| 17 | 18 | | Entertainment Center, a Tigua-owned business; he resides on the |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | Pueblo reservation with his family; and |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Heir to a proud culture, Roberto Pedraza III is |

| 20 | 21 | | helping to preserve the vital traditions and values of the Pueblo |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | while working to enhance the quality of life for its people, and he |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | is indeed deserving of the trust that has been placed in him by |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | members of his community; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |

| 25 | 26 | | Legislature hereby honor Roberto Pedraza III for his service on the |

| 26 | 27 | | Tribal Council of Ysleta del Sur Pueblo and extend to him sincere |
