H.R. No. 1566
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Jasper VFW Post No. 6380 has set an inspiring
example of charitable giving by making a generous donation to five
local fire departments; and
WHEREAS, Members of VFW Post No. 6380 raised $20,000 to
support the Jasper and Lake Rayburn Fire Departments and the
Angelina River, East End, and Tri-Community Volunteer Fire
Departments; and
WHEREAS, Through its admirable support, Jasper VFW Post
No. 6380 has made a meaningful difference in surrounding
communities, and it is truly a pleasure to honor its noteworthy
contributions; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby commend Jasper VFW Post No. 6380 for its
philanthropic efforts and extend to all those associated with the
organization sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the group as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
