 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, David Hale stepped down as chair of the Hunt County
 Republican Party on March 9, 2015, and the conclusion of his
 outstanding tenure provides a fitting opportunity to commend him
 for his civic engagement; and
 WHEREAS, First appointed Hunt County Republican chair in
 October 2008, Mr. Hale played a key role in advancing the party's
 mission among local residents; the number of elected Republicans in
 the Hunt County government increased from 12 to 21 during his time
 in office, and the party had earned the support of 70 percent of
 voters in the area; and
 WHEREAS, After six and a half years, Mr. Hale left his post as
 chair in order to serve on the State Republican Executive Committee
 for Senate District 2, a position to which he was elected during the
 Texas Republican Convention in June 2014; and
 WHEREAS, Mr. Hale has been actively engaged in politics on
 the local, state, and national level for many years; he has chaired
 the Hunt County Republican Convention three times and helps out at
 polling places in the county every year; he has also worked on the
 campaigns of state legislators and interned in Washington, D.C.,
 with U.S. Congressman Ralph Hall; and
 WHEREAS, A committed champion of his community, David Hale
 has contributed greatly to the Republican Party's success in Hunt
 County, and he may take well-deserved pride in his exceptional
 record of achievement; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
 Legislature hereby honor David Hale on his service as chair of the
 Hunt County Republican Party and extend to him sincere best wishes
 for the future; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Mr. Hale as an expression of high regard by the Texas
 House of Representatives.
